In the Engineering phase, we translate defined concepts into practical and functional solutions. Our teams work to develop the new product according to targets defined in previous phases and design in detail all components suitable to ensure the most rigorous standards of aesthetics, functionality, and quality, virtually validating all performances to move on to the production phase..

In the Engineering Development phase, we develop the new product completely and in detail, addressing all technical issues that may emerge in its realization and designing robust solutions, in line with all pre-established targets in compliance with quality and performance requirements.
We develop the new product by creating a 3D CAD model of all its components, detailing the project with all contents necessary for its realization and production. We consider all project stakeholder inputs such as technological feasibility, assembly systems and sequences, quality, performance, investment costs, variable costs, and homologation. We use various CAD design software aligned with our Clients’ specific requirements.
We develop the human-machine interface (HMI) to ensure optimal interaction between user and system in terms of functionality and usability. Considering Client-specific requirements, we develop integrated graphics for all infotainment devices. We make information to be displayed as clear as possible and aesthetically aligned with market trends.
We customize our methodology and targets according to specific characteristics of the production plant and applied production technologies. We perform all component manufacturability checks to ensure each product part can be produced efficiently and with quality, minimizing production costs and times as much as possible.
he assembly phase of a complex product is crucial for meeting aesthetic and quality expectations. We dedicate great attention to optimal choice of assembly type and sequence, considering many determining factors such as production tolerances, solution robustness, performance, and disassembly capability for after-sales service/maintenance.
Style maturation follows a convergence and integration process of all technical inputs that direct choices toward product producibility according to targets defined in previous project phases. Through multi-functional work, we update original style solutions to incorporate new solutions while preserving the defined theme and stylistic vision.
Based on specific characteristics of each sub-system and component, we identify market opportunities for supply and select together with the Client the technically most robust and reliable and economically most efficient Supply Chain to achieve defined project targets.
During the Engineering Validation phase, we test and validate engineered solutions. Through rigorous testing and thorough analysis, both virtual and physical, we test the solidity of our solutions preparing them for subsequent phases of the development process.

Through specific ergonomic comfort evaluation software first and physical ergonomic bucks later, we verify and certify that the product meets defined ergonomic requirements and targets based on biomechanical data and user assessment.
Once style is frozen, we create Class A aesthetic surfaces, meaning surface quality suitable for obtaining maximum aesthetic quality on produced components without form defects due to low levels of position, tangency, and curvature. Thanks to specific software use, our dedicated team can create 3D ready for production equipment realization.
Throughout the development phase, the Virtual Validations team executes complete simulation plans in different convergence loops to analyze and guide technical and technological choices to be applied and developed to achieve performance targets defined in previous phases. The excellent correlation between physical behavior and virtual simulation methods allows us to significantly shorten development times and drastically reduce the number of physical prototypes needed to validate a new product.
The Digital Mock-Up (DMU) team constantly supports project maturation with punctual verification of assembly, component interaction, and compliance with design tolerances. With immediate feedback on potential risks, still in virtual phase, numerous issues are anticipated during prototype and pre-series construction.
Our projects are accompanied and supported by a team dedicated to Perceived Quality that is applied as a uniform strategy to all parts of the new product. This creates a general context that consistently responds to the same quality logic and targets. Geometric and dimensional tolerance strategies and technical solution guidelines are thus defined.
We develop alpha prototypes to test the product in its early physical phases, evaluating feasibility and collecting feedback for further improvements of set solutions. We create prototype parts using various available technologies, making a detailed analysis of information needed to be collected through prototype construction. We select the most suitable technology and material for each specific mission.
We provide technical support to the entire supply chain according to work schemes customized for specific needs of each supplier. This is to improve the entire development process both for so-called “make” parts, thus supporting the main manufacturer, and for “buy” parts supplied by various TIER1s.
